The municipality of Lyaskovets has started construction and installation activities for the implementation of the project ‘Reconstruction and modernisation of outdoor artificial street lighting systems in the municipality of Lyaskovets’. The funds are allocated under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), Component 4 ‘Low-carbon economy’, Investment C4.I3 ‘Support for energy-efficient street lighting systems’. The project envisages the rehabilitation and modernisation of the external artificial street lighting systems in Lyaskovets, Djulyunitsa, Dobri Delya, Dragizhevo, Kozarevets and Merdanya, through the implementation of energy efficiency measures and accompanying urgent construction and installation works: replacement of existing street and park lighting fixtures with new energy-efficient LEDs, installation of new lighting fixtures on existing poles to ensure the necessary uniformity of lighting. The total value of the project is BGN 1 565 964.00, of which BGN 1 304 470.00 in grant funding and BGN 261 494.00 in national co-financing. The construction and installation works will be carried out by Hit OOD and are due to be completed in November 2025.

The official opening of the fair is on June 21, 2025 at 11:00 am. Traditionally, the festival begins with the song ‘Horo winds himself near the monastery’, bearing his name and becoming his motto. The National Festival of Folklore of Petropavlovsk takes place on the meadows above the Monastery of St. ST. Peter and Paul’, which is located above the town of Lyaskovets.
