On 10th of May 2019 in the town of Lyaskovets, in the Conference Hall of the at 1 Buzludzha street, was held a job fair and a round table on the topic of “Improving the mobility and the employment level in the cross-border region  of Bulgaria-Romania” in which participated employers with small and middle businesses; self-employed, working in the fields of agriculture, tourism and green economy; more than 30 local products  were presented and was held a taste-tasting of culinary creations of the cross-border region. The job fair was visited by more than 80 people, looking for employment or employers from the region. During the event employers and regular guests discussed the job possibilities and workforce mobility in the prism of the need for developing knowledge and skills in the field of ecotourism and organic agriculture. The Minister of Agriculture Dessislava Taneva attended the opening ceremony for the renovated culture center in Lyaskovets and visited a meeting with local farmers.   The meeting of Minister Taneva and local farmers was held in the former Youth center. More than 30 stakeholders attended, eager to discuss different subjects and problems in the sector. The Minister of Agriculture later participated in the official opening ceremony for the renovated building of the town`s culture center. The ceremony was attended by the mayor of Lyaskovets Dr. Ivelina Getsova and the chair of the culture center “Napredak 1870” – Mr. Vassil Rusev. Father Bogdan, local priest, blessed everybody with special ceremony and the guests were invited to take a look at the renovated halls, the library, theater hall, dressing rooms. The renovation of the culture center was part of the “Renovation of Community Culture Center “Napredak – 1870”, town of Lyaskovet” Project, funded by the Programme for development of rural areas for the 2014-2020 period.  The main activities of the project was dedicated to renovating and improving the performance characteristics of the building – changing the pavement, interior doors, renovation of the theater hall, including furniture and scene equipment, creating accessible environment to the library and other service areas, creating and furnishing new restrooms, changing the plumbing installation, building installation for hot water, renovating the alleys leading to the east and west..

Municipality of Lyaskovets, with decision of the Municipal Council №234 from 25th of February 2021, announces that it will offer a tax reduction for the local businesses, affected by the pandemic. The measure is directed to removing the local waste tax for the period 13.03.2020 – 13.05.2020 and 28.11.2021-31.12.2020 for businesses in the territory of Municipality of Lyaskovets. During the state of emergency and the measures for fighting the COVID -19 pandemic in 2020, many local businesses were affected and had to temporary suspend their activities and as a result the affected businesses didn’t made any income and also had a reduction in the produced waste. The proposal for the measure was made from the mayor of the Municipality and was discussed by the local Municipal Council and approved on the council meeting on 25th of February 2021. The businesses can submit their documents for the tax reduction until 16.04.2021 in the Center for Information and administrative services of Lyaskovets. AFIR is still receiving applications for investment project in agricultural exploitations, under the NRDP – Measure 4.1. The total available amount, until 25th of January 2022, for investments in vegetal and animal agricultural exploitations amounts 589 millions euro.  For simple procurements of agricultural equipment, as well as of equipment for irrigation or draining, no more applications for funding can be submitted, since funds have been absorbed. This component was closed on November 30, 2021, following the fact that the 125 MEUR allocation has been exceeded 3 times.   Currently, farmers can still request funds for investment in the conditioning, processing and marketing of the vegetal farm – excluding vegetables and potatoes (11 MEUR available), in the animal farm (81 MEUR available), as well as for vegetables and potatoes (53MEUR available). There are also available 30MEUR for investment in stock raising (primary production, conditioning and marketing) in the mountain area and EUR 326M for the same type of investment at national level. For investments in setting up, extension, modernization in the vegetables sector, including protected areas and potatoes (primary production, conditioning and marketing), interested applicants have available funds amounting EUR 86M. The Government Meeting of 10 December 2021 has approved the Decision for amending art.19 paragraph.(8) of GD nr. 1179/2014 on setting up a state aid scheme in the animal sector. This regulation is establishing an increase of the state aid for the year 2021, from 40 to 70 million lei, which is within the approved limit for the period 2015 – 2022, respectively 759.250.000 lei. Following this amendment, the share of the amounts by species has been also modified, prorated with the amounts requested by the initial annual requests, respectively 30.817.000 lei for bovine, porks and horses and 39.183.000 lei for the species sheeps and goats. Funds shall be provided from the state budget, within the budgetary allocations approved for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for 2021. The state aid scheme has the objective to cover the administrative costs related to the preparation and maintenance of the genealogical register, as well as those related to the tests for determining the genetic quality or the genetic output of the livestock. Aids are provided in the form of subsidy services provided to individual and family companies, authorized persons owning a producer certificate, as well as to legal companies acting in the field of animal growth. The state aid amounts to: a) up to 100% of the administrative costs related to the preparation and maintenance of genealogical registers;b) up to 70 % of the costs..
