Young people encounter employment problems According to Romania’s country report 2016, the integration of young people into the labour market still remains a challenge. In 2015, youth employment rate decreased to 22%, still above EU’s average. For this reason, Romanian parliamentaries have drafted a law with the purpose to activate companies and public institutions for the integration on the labour market of people who reached the age of 16. Employing trainees brings money from the state The draft law foresees that employers who provide labour contracts for young people who have finalized their internships, on an unlimited basis, receive from the state a grant amounting 1000 eur. Additionally, young trainees have the right to a fee of at least 50% of the minimum wage at country level. Additional employment opportunities for young people. SUPPORT FOR THE PEOPLE…

Recent floods in Teleorman county have seriously affected several families, by destroying their goods and crops, and by killing their house animals. For them, local authorities at county level, through the Red Cross, Teleorman branch, try to collect reliefs as food, hygiene products and functional goods. So far, Teleorman citizens have donated oil, flour, corn flour, tins and personal hygiene products, but any donation is still welcome. They saw the destruction of their lifetime savings Recent floods have created serious damage. Several Teleorman families have experienced the destruction of their lifetime savings. People have lost their goods, crops and animals. Within a couple of hours, several families were seriously affected. Water flew into their houses and destroyed furniture, home appliances, clothes and other goods. Others saw their crops compromised and animals sinked Support for those affected by floods For all those, local authorities have launched an aid campaign, through the Red Cross, Teleorman branch. All good hearted people who wish to support those affected by floods may donate, at the premises of Red Cross in Alexandria, food products (bottled water, oil, sugar, flour, corn flour, rice, canned food, etc.), hygiene products and any other functional goods. Masters of the hen…

The hen soup fest in the village of Kozarevets for the eighth year in a row was dedicated to the most delicious homemade hen soup. On 8th of September, the day of Holy Virgin Mary, 15 teams from Lyaskovets and the villages in the Municipality, as well as guests from the region, showed their  skills in preparing the dish. The fest started in the early hours of the day as the participants prepared their fireplaces and mixed bird meat, vegetables and spices in the pots. The aroma filled the park of the Culture center of Kozarevets, where the soups were simmering. The official start of the fest was given by the deputy mayor of Lyaskovets Municipality, engineer Rositsa Gospodinova and Mrs. Krassimira Koleva – mayor of the village of Kozarevets. The chair of the local culture center “Zamedelets 1899” – Mr. Todor Todorov greeted the participants.  Special blessing was made by the local priest father Dimitar, who wished health and prosper upon the participants and guests. Singers and dance groups from the local culture centers and pensioner`s clubs, as well as guests sang to entertain the participants and the audience. This year in the musical marathon participated not only groups from Lyaskovets, Strazhitsa, Gorna Oryahovits and Elena, but enthusiasts from Pet mogili, a village in the Shumen region. The former Youth Center…

  Today was held a ceremony for the official opening of the building of the renovated Youth Center in Lyaskovets . The ceremony was held by the mayor of the municipality of Lyaskovets Dr. Ivelina Getzova and Nicoleta Ivan Korina – secretary of the municipality of the Romanian city Videle. The ritual for sanctification of the new building was performed by Father Bogdan, a priest from Lyaskovets, and all the guests and representatives of the design team, supervisors and contractors were welcomed by Bulgarian tradition with traditional bread and salt from children in folk costumes dancing at “Ludo mlado” club. In Bulgarian custom with bread, geranium and “Welcome”, were welcomed the guests from Lyaskovets and Romania. Once the ceremony was over, Dr. Getsova and Mrs. Corina expressed their satisfaction with the good cooperation, wished for many future successes and joint initiatives and were applauded by guests and citizens for the new acquisition. Lyaskovetz and Videle have partnered on a project whose activities continue to be carried out and thanks to which the outdated building of the Youth Center in Lyaskovets has become a modern and well-equipped Cross-Border Business Incubator for Ecotourism and Organic Agriculture. An event, dedicated to…

On 10th of May 2019 in the town of Lyaskovets, in the Conference Hall of the at 1 Buzludzha street, was held a job fair and a round table on the topic of “Improving the mobility and the employment level in the cross-border region  of Bulgaria-Romania” in which participated employers with small and middle businesses; self-employed, working in the fields of agriculture, tourism and green economy; more than 30 local products  were presented and was held a taste-tasting of culinary creations of the cross-border region. The job fair was visited by more than 80 people, looking for employment or employers from the region. During the event employers and regular guests discussed the job possibilities and workforce mobility in the prism of the need for developing knowledge and skills in the field of ecotourism and organic agriculture.
